Preparation for the Swiss U20 selection begins on Monday, December 13. After two days of training at the OYM center in Cham, the team of head coach Marco Bayer will head to Canada by charter flight on December 15th. Players in the North American junior leagues will join the team directly in Canada. In Red Deer, where the Swiss will play their group matches, the team will have to observe two days of quarantine in hotel rooms before resuming its preparation. Ahead of the tournament, the Swiss team will play three friendly matches against Canada (Sunday December 19), Germany (Tuesday December 21) and the Czech Republic (Thursday December 23). In the course of the preparation, the frame will be reduced to three goalkeepers and 22 field players.
