The Islanders head up to the Abitibi region tonight for a pair of games against the Huskies and Foreurs.
First up is the Huskies tonight. The Islanders beat RN fairly solidly when these two teams met in Charlottetown. It would be great to get a pair of points tonight and be up to 4 points on the trip.
Game time is 8:00 AST.

Do we have Cormier available this weekend?
The WJHC camp opens in Calgary this coming Thursday, Dec. 9. Hopefully we have him for the pair of games tonight and tomorrow when Plandowski is out.
After we get back home, the stretch of games with Cormier out and Plandowski suspended would be a good chance to view some of our younger d-men. We could bring over Topilnyckyj from Fredericton for a few games. Also, we have Isaac Vos close by playing with the Knights and both Beran Sancy and Jano Zambakdjian playing with The Mount.
Realistically, in a year like this, each of these young guys could be trading chips, so it could be nice to see them in game action to see where they are now compared to back in the fall.

Oof 4 games, makes sense but still oof. Missing him and cormier is going to be interesting...our defence is our strong point but that is with both of them.

What is the story on Michael Horth. He hasn't been in the lineup since Nov. 18.
Is he injured at the moment? I don't recall seeing anything suggesting an injury.

The home game that day, he left the ice unable to put any weight on one of this legs. He was one crutches around the rink for a few games and last home game I saw him walking but limping a bit.

So we are down to 4 defenseman right now. Watching the feed I saw Noah skate off awkwardly, not sure what happened but he never returned. Then Maynard got boarded, face his the boards hard. We are running on Cormier, Agular, Trudeau and McQuaid.

A good comeback after a bit of a messy 2nd period. Took way too many penalties in the 3rd. If the huskies hadn't pulled their goalie, might be a different game because we don't score those 2 empty netters.
