3-0 Sea Dogs after a dominant 1st period as they picked up right where they left off Friday.
Josh Lawrence threaded a pass up the middle to Dufour for a clear breakaway 3:49 in and he deked to the FH to open the scoring.
Kuznetsov threw a point shot at the net from the point at 7:10 and Ansons banged in the short rebound to make it 2-0.
Philippe Daoust made it 3-0 with a SH goal on a nice feed from Trenholm to go in alone with a deke to the FH at 9:16.
The Oceanic changed goalies after the 3rd goal.
The Sea Dogs look really good so far.

6-2 Sea Dogs after the 2nd.
The Oceanic had closed it to 4-2, but late goals by MacDonald and Dufour with his league-leading 25th put the Dogs up by 4 before the period ended.
Daoust scored just 34 seconds into the 2nd on a nifty BH using a D-man for a screen.
Dufour's 2nd of the game came with only 29 seconds left in the period.
SOG are 22-11 Sea Dogs after two.
Happy 88th to Don Cherry - yesterday!

This team looks good!! Another dominant performance today.
Disappointed in the stats crew doing the announcing though. First they announced the student of the month with their usual lead up, to say it went to #11, William Villeneuve. Come on guys, #11? Seriously? Villeneuve has been #13 since he joined the Seadogs. And #11, well we all know who owns that.
And then announcing D’Aoust’s goals as his first as a Seadog. After he scored goal #4 in the win against the Armada on Friday.
This team looks all pro on the ice. Let’s get the announcing up to par.

MacDonald really played with a chip on his shoulder. Have not seen him play like that previously. It was very refreshing

Back to back games where the opponent got less than 20 shots. When is the last time the Sea Dogs have done that? I'm guessing the 2016-2017 season sometime. 17 shots Friday and 16 today. Those sound like 1st period numbers for the past few seasons.

Looking forward to see how they match up against Charlottetown and Bathurst now. I would have a hard time keeping Blagdon out of the lineup. Not sure who would come out for him but I like what he brings to the team.

We knew there would be more goals in the team. But one of the biggest improvements I thought was the game against the Armada. Where after dominating the opening 5 minutes, the Armada were on top for about 8 minutes. Earlier in the season the team either concedes or gives up a penalty and concedes on the PK. It was great to watch them lock in and not give up a goal under pressure.
Also, Vincent Sevigny can throw the body around. Feels like everything everyone wanted from Innis when you'd hear chatter about "We need some big hits from Innis" but yet this year we weren't seeing many.
I am excited to see how they line up against the two other contenders in East. If anything, they'll be great games. Should be picking up 5 points on this Road Trip.

I was at the game yesterday....RIMOUSKI are young and rebuilding and their goalie wasn't amazing to be honest, but Saint John has confidence and played that way from puck drop. They also played very physical and hard on the puck. Honestly Rimouski was outgunned and shell shocked for the first 45 minutes, but came around in the 3rd to make it more competitive. Liam Kidney rang it off the post for them and they did have a few more chances, but the game was over before the puck dropped...Saint John was that strong....I cant wait for them to play PEI or Bathurst, those should be good games, but aside from a few teams, Saint John will dominate rest of the league...
