I found this stat interesting, but not surprising. According to stats, Simoneau sets up eight shots for his teammates per 60 minutes on the ice, and passes to the slot with a regularity only matched by Mavrik Bourque. These are high-end numbers that encompass how dangerous Simoneau is with the puck. What’s even more impressive is that Simoneau averages the least amount of turnovers per 100 puck touches in the entire QMJHL, meaning that he manages the puck better than anyone else in his circuit. I’ll definitely believe those numbers, both in the turnovers and setups.
His play in the QMJHL remind me of a certain player of similar size who recently took on a new job in Simoneau’s organization, the Habs.

Apparently, a plane ticket and a new home was all it took for Bailey Peach to have a career year. 26G 33A in 45 games with a bad Victoria Royals team. Good for him!

Will Trudeau sits just outside the top 10 scoring defencemen with an 8.0 SH% (7 goals on 88 shots)
This mightn't mean anything to anybody but me, but I find them interesting. And it's a good way to kill a quiet Friday afternoon at work
