Bathurst was also missing some key cogs as well Oh I know. The poster had just mentioned that Titan missing key players meant the isles should have had it. I was just pointing out that we were missing players as well

Tough loss being up 2 in third, Stany was shaky all game , Budgell losing draw on tying goal was bad but overall team played ok, Titan missing key players up front made game closer than should been. Isles need to clean up mistakes in own zone if want to make a long playoff push To be fair Charlottetown was missing 4 players plus the “starter” goalie. 3 of them play a lot of minutes as well. Titan missing MacArthur, Huckins, Chisholm, Biggar and Brants was playing hurt, to be fair the Titan were missing as much and maybe more. I don’t think it will matter much what players are missing, it will be great hockey.

There is not much to choose from between the two teams honestly
Bednar made some big saves.... Satny was solid not spectacular
we looked really strong post trade deadline with a full roster..... take a couple bodies out of the mix and it changes alot
I love our third line with Gallant centering Boyd and Elliot...... then you can put a solid 4th line out there with offense in Leblanc and Horth and a glue guy in Saye
also keeps our top guns fresh
our PP also was not it's usual dominant self yesterday

The difference between the teams is razor thin. We should expect to have very close games with the Titan from now until the end of the season. Somewhere along the way there is a good chance there will be a 7 game series that could go either way. Not having Budgell for most of the first period and part of the second (while he got fixed up from taking the puck to the face) had an impact.... especially when we were only running 11 forwards, where one of those forwards was in his first game.... I know they used McQuaid up there for a shift or few, but up front is not the spot for him. I'm not sure he saw time on the blueline as the 7th man. He took a critical penalty and I'm not sure he saw the ice after that. McQuaid has an important role as the d-man we rely on if someone gets hurt. I know he played yesterday due to the shortage of bodies, but up front is not the spot for him. Lapierre is a real difference maker for the Titan with his speed and puck skills. We don't have a player like that who really has game breaking ability. Our strength is in our depth and being able to role those three lines when we are healthy and take advantage of favourable matchups. Bathurst has good depth too, but they'll be looking to play Lapierre as much as they can in big games... he is awesome! Kidney is the star of Bathurst, I'd expect a NHL player like Lapierre to dominate, but the assist in OT was amazing....that kid has vision and skill off the charts. Charlottetown is deep at the 20 and 19 year old, but their 18 year old and less depth chart isn't as strong.
Would be a great playoff series for sure....

Lapierre is fun to watch. Saw him almost run into Satny and he was very quick to apologise for it. Also saw him chatting with a number of Islanders. Seems like a good kid on top of the talent.

yeah i have not been hugely impressed with Lapierre to be honest.... i don't think he is a bigger game breaker right now than Kidney or for that matter Simoneau or Cormier

You are pumping up Lapierre’s tires and I’m doing Simoneau’s. To me Simoneaunis a game changing type of player. A few days ago I was thinking that IMO Xavier has a bigger impact for his team than Hendrix and I found it strange thinking that after Hendrix’s 2 goal game.
