The Islanders head up to Quebec again this weekend for a two game set.
First stop is tonight in Victoriaville. Victoriaville is near the bottom of the standing and have been hammered in a number of their last few games... (loss 9-1 and 9-2 to Sherbrooke, loss 6-3 to Saint John, loss 7-2 to us, loss 7-1 to Bathurst...... all good teams, I know).
Meanwhile, this is our first action since our humbling loss to Halifax last Saturday night. I'm sure there are lots of things Jim worked on in practice this week that they will look to bring into the game plan tonight.
We will look to start this road trip with a strong effort.
Game time is 8:00 AST.

any update on the walking wounded? The game preview listed Sam Bowness, Jakub Brabenec, Owen Saye, and Zachary Roy all out for at least the weekend. Which is unfortunate considering we play Shawinigan tomorrow night. Wonder if we will see Lapenna in tonight? I would think he would be playing tomorrow for sure and he would probably want to get a game in before. EDIT: oops did not see the other reply first, my bad.

Could we see any retribution from the last game regarding the slur against Gallant?

We don't have an abundance of prospects in the province of Quebec. The only player we have from the 2021 draft who's currently playing in Quebec is forward Noah Woodard who's playing with Magog U18. I forget if he attended camp in the fall, and thus I'm not sure if he played any exhibition games. If he's potentially college bound he'll not be interested in suiting up. We don't really have anyone from the 2020 draft available... Marabella is playing up there but we don't need a goaltender. Some of our Quebec draftees... Simard-Sancy, Zambakdjian.... they play with the Mount in Charlottetown. I'm figuring that if we didn't bring up some extra recruits with us from the Maritimes, then we are likely short staffed on this trip. I would have to think they took Brett Arsenault up, not that I have any inside info…
He was playing a somewhat regular shift in the past few games, and even missed his teams last game on the mainland to play with the Isles last Saturday.
Hulton isn’t one known for having an abundance of extra bodies, but I’m not sure we could afford to go 11F-6D for a Quebec road trip…Atleast not against Shawinigan.

Didn't know where to post this, but picked this thread.
Isles prospect, Jonah Jelley, having himself a good season with the Charlottetown Knights.

Does anyone have more info on him? He's listed as being from Moncton.
He played Bantam with Moncton.....then went to Notre Dame for 2 Years.....then joined Charlottetown Knights last season.....which was cut short due to Covid.....and as mentioned above, playing with Charlottetown Knights this season and having himself a good season.

I remember when he was drafted it was mentioned that he grew up in Moncton but his family was moving to PEI at the time….and just a coincidence that he ended up getting drafted to the Islanders. Budgell had a couple good opportunities to one time the puck...as the puck came cross crease.....but instead held on to it to fire wrist shots.......may or may not have made a difference.
1-0 Isles after two periods......
