Has anyone heard if the Ice Bar will be re opening after March 14th? I hope so. Also, the last two games the scoreboard advertised Memorial cup Ice Bar packages. Does this mean you will only be able to access the ice bar with a specific ticket at an an extra fee? I asked at SeaDogs central, they did not have any details, don't see any online.

This was posted on the Seadogs Facebook account…probably on Twitter too but I’m not, so I can’t say for sure: “The Moosehead Light Ice Bar will be OPEN this weekend! See the action from ice level as we take on the Charlottetown Islanders at TD Station. Admission is free with a game ticket. Must be of legal drinking age.”

Before the Ice Bar did they ever have seats all the way behind the night on that end? I know the capacity is bigger than what they get on regular season game days. But always thought it was a bit odd being one of the few arenas in the Q that has no "seats" directly behind any of the goals.

I don't think those sections ever filled up very much which is probably why that's where they chose to put it. I think they actually put those seats back in last season to increase capacity.

The upper bowl is set back on that end above the stage. And it's the 2nd newest arena in the league. Go figure.

There are retractable seats in that area that can be used instead of having a bar if they want to increase the seating capacity.

During the days of the Saint John Flames the entire Ice Bar area was seating. The Flames would come out from the west end, the zamboni entrance. The whole lower bowl of TD Station is telescopic seating from rows 1-8, rows 9-11 are fixed. This gives the ability for different seating configurations or for allowing more floor space for trade shows. When the Sea Dogs arrived a small section in the middle of the seating where the Ice Bar is now was removed, the Sea Dogs would come out from there and still do with the current configuration. The seating is stored I believe behind the Ice Bar sign.

Glad the ice bar will be open again. Disappointed that for the Memorial cup you can only access the ice bar with a ticket specifically for the ice bar! More than double the price of regular tournament pass. Am I the only one who thinks $1200 seems crazy? I totally get wanting to make as much money as possible during that week, but that seems to be too much. You don't even get a seat!

I saw an ad in the TJ where it said it would be good for companies, corporate team building, etc. so it's likely the $1,200 would be for a table rather than one single ticket. Most people in the Ice Bar don't go to watch the game, they are there to socialize and drink.

Amazing to see how much has and hasn't changed in 20 years with the arena! Can really tell how it's used as a double for the Pacific Coliseum, especially with the very low side glass.

They said nothing will be different than the current ice bar, just the price and needing a designated ticket to get in. I saw the TJ ad, says to go online for details, but nothing on the website.
