Trevor Georgie revealed on the Seeing Doubble Podcast that the Sea Dogs intend to name a team captain and that the reveal will happen soon.
It's a neat little interview lasting about half an hour or so put on by some hockey loving twin brothers from Saint John. I saw it on YouTube but I think they said they're on Spotify as well. Support local right.

I am genuinely curious as to who it might be. My gut tells me it's Picard though.
Always thought it was odd not having a proper captain on the team.

Honestly, both Daoust and Sevigny should be the front runners. Daoust wore an A in Moncton last year and played pro the first half of this year. Everything he has said and done screams the right attitude. Sevigny wore an A in Victo in the first half. Again, another incredibly high character player. I'm not a fan of giving the C to a 4th liner who likely will be healthy scratched every X games to keep guys fresh if we are healthy. |

Villeneuve - A
Kuznetsov - A
My guess is one of Sevigny and Daoust will get the C and Kuznetsov will take Picards 'A'.

But now you have 4 people wearing an "A" because you would have to assume whatever one of Sevigny or Daoust that doesn't get the "C" gets an "A". May as well just give everyone a letter of the alphabet and a participation ribbon so nobody gets their feelings hurt. |

I think both of those players have what it takes to be a captain. I gave the 'A' to Kuznetsov on the basis of how hard TG fought to get him on the team. |

Pretty sure Kuznetsov has been wearing an A for most, if not all, of the 2nd half.
I doubt he'll get the "C" though but he'll likely keep the "A".

I figure what gave him the edge over D'Aoust was last year's President's Cup win. Otherwise it could have gone to either. Nice to finally have a captain again after 27 months.
