Wildcats are completely outworking the Isles tonight.
Mercier as hard as it is to believe has been the best player on the ice from both teams.
Very physical game with a playoff feel to it, big hits on both sides.

Really tough loss but tons of credit to the Cats, 4th game in 5 days and 5th in 7 they were so gassed the 3rd period - The Isles forecheck wasn't even that heavy, the Cats just didn't have the mustard to even make simple dumps out of the zone at the end it was turnover city. They still worked their asses off for that point.
With the way Lemieux is dialed in right now he could absolutely steal a series from anyone right now.

He's been a different goaltender the last few weeks. He seems to have an ability to rise to the occasion for a big game. For 40 minutes they outworked and outplayed a much better team, but the final 20 it was pretty clear they were hanging on for dear life as the Islanders came out different in the 3rd and their skill took over. Watching the impact a guy like Hamel has when hes back on the roster I'm convinced he should be kept as a 20 next season. When hes laying big hits the team seems to try and do more of the same. Muller is another guy who doesnt get a lot of recognition but he works as hard as the others and has the skill to make individual plays that suprises me. Add him to the list of Auger, Daniel, Sarrasin, Darcy, Dollemont etc who are bringing value well above their draft selection. The Cats are definitely developing abit more of identity the last few years with their drafting and Lacroix coaching style.
