He is AHL eligible because he was drafted out of the Czech Republic.
It basically will depend on if Vegas wants him in junior or playing in the AHL.
For a guy his age and size, I think one more year of junior hockey is the best bet…….but they very well could want him in their professional ranks. We all know that Vegas has traded away much of their farm system the past few years. I expect there are available jobs in their minor league system. We wait.

Playing one more year of junior hockey on a rebuilding team or playing a level up in ECHL or AHL. I think he is moved up. If it doesn’t work out, he gets sent down like what happened with Axel Anderson in Moncton. But Axel was going to the best team in the CHL. Unlikely Brabenec being sent down to a rebuilding team. But that’s just my opinion. edit: If he is sent down it will be becoz he is being traded to a contender.

There’s a chance that this team may not even be as terrible as some were thinking next year.. Both Euros could possibly be back plus we could have 3 of the best OA in the league whichever way we go plus assets we add from other valuable overages we may trade. I don’t think we will be a contender but we wont be a basement team either. But we will need to Restock the cupboards at Xmas.

One thing with Hulton’s teams…they’re gonna work their ass off.
The team a few years ago, I remember watching them in training camp and talking with people about how it was gonna be the worst team we’ve ever iced. Fast forward a few months and we’re sitting in the semi finals.
Don’t think that’s gonna be the case obviously but weirder things have happened in junior hockey

The one thing I say is:
Never count out a Jim Houlton team. We have been in the mix every year. He will no doubt have some things in the wings we don't know about yet.

I'm not at all worried about next year
we will likely have a hard working team that struggles to score goals....... been there before

He will be in Jr next year imo. I hope so too. Just pointing out that he IS eligible for AHL next season. He may not be dominating, but he does have 59pts in 55gp in his 1st campaign in N.A. Jim Hulton was quoted during an Eastlink interview saying that Brabenec was the smartest hockey sense player that he has coached at this level. He's a big strong player with obvious skill.

Easy way to speed up the rebuild....the rerun on those guys one would be very significant.

Easy way to speed up the rebuild....the rerun on those guys one would be very significant. lots of decisions to be made for sure Guay should be kept til Christmas if he is back IMO I would move Lapenna at the draft Roy depends on the price and what he does in the playoffs..... i feel he is just finally starting to show us the player he can be and I am hoping for a real good playoff performance out of him Stairs I'd definitely move at the draft he should in no way be an overager here Gallant, Biakabutuka and Guay is the overage trio i'd probably start the year with if all are back and not included in other deals ie futures...... so i guess i just contradicted myself with Roy lol obviously if Trudeau were to return then you move Biakabutuka or TRuds for whatever you get the most for it will actually be fun to watch the rebuild but lets go get a championship first
