Round 2 kicks off on Sunday afternoon. The marathon series between Halifax and Bathurst came to a conclusion last night with Bathurst outlasting the Mooseheads.
On one hand, the Titan will come into this series fatigued, having just played Friday night, and having played a triple overtime game on Wednesday. But they will also be running on adrenaline, having completed a comeback from being down 0-2 and thought to be history.
We haven't played since Monday and will be well rested. It is expected that Ben Boyd will return from injury to play in game #1.
Game time is 3:00 PM on Sunday.

It’ll be a good series even tho a 5 game. I doubt they’ll be fatigued imo. These kids are machines at those ages. Isle in 4.

According to the line-up, Boyd is back in while Bowness and McQuaid are out.
Of interesting note, Patrick LeBlanc started skating again. Probably won't see a game all playoffs but great news to hear he's at least back out on skates.

Great to see Boyd back had a couple big hits, but after a scrum I hope he didn’t get re injured haven’t seen him on the ice since he got out of the box. Just sitting on the bench he did come back out for the second at least.

Titan looking real embarrassing today.... Luckily this game means something to the Titan or it be 10-0 ☺️ Shots count doesn’t reflect game play.

If Gallant isn't first star after today's game I don't think he'd ever get it. What a game he's having

Gallant left the game mid-way through the 3rd. Hopefully nothing too serious. If Gallant isn't first star after today's game I don't think he'd ever get it. What a game he's having

The Islanders looked really good for 60 minutes.
Officiating wasn't the difference - but that 5 on 3 was about as soft as you'll find.
The 5 on 3 PP goal - and then a second goal on the 2nd PP turned a close game into a - "let's get away to a better start tomorrow in Game 2" kind of attitude with the Titan players.
I don't hope for either team - but that's the feeling I was left with. It was only 2-0, but it changed the game.
Even without that 5 on 3 - I think the Islanders were going to win Game 1 comfortably - so not a big deal.
I think it'll be closer on the scoreboard tomorrow.
Neat comment by broadcaster George Matthews who said, "Ben Boyd is 6'3" every time he steps on the ice."
Also liked the "grip and rip" shot description.
George is very fast talking and descriptive - very professional.
The goal is always to try to go in and gain a split on the road. Big game tomorrow!
