Re-seed for semis.... Islanders will host game 1, 2 and 5 if necessary!
Sherbrooke is definitely our toughest test yet.....of course it is possible that Rimouski can bring their magic to game 4 and 5 again this round!

So IF the Islanders play Sherbrooke next. Who gets home ice advantage? They are reseeding the teams but does the reseed reward Sherbrooke for winning their division? Or is it just record? It's a best of 5. This is an important thing to know. If they still get a higher seed because of division win then Sherbrooke is opening on home ice no matter what happens in the Quebec-Rimouski series. The Islanders also won their division. Reseeding the teams would go by overall league standings. If Quebec wins.... 1 Quebec 2 Charlottetown 3 Sherbrooke 4 Shawinigan Or if Rimouski wins... 1 Charlottetown 2 Sherbrooke 3 Shawinigan 4 Rimouski

“It’s always nice to close a series out as soon as possible,” said Islanders general manager and head coach Jim Hulton. “I thought we got pushed a little bit harder as we knew we were going to. The close-out game of a series is always the hardest to win." “Lapenna, in particular, really stepped up. He’s been really good in the series, but he was outstanding and had that look to him that it was going to be difficult to beat him.” “This one felt like a real playoff game,” said Hulton. “It was nice to see a veteran team had no panic, even when we gave up a goal to go 2-1 with about 10 minutes to go (in the third period). “A younger team may lose its momentum, but I thought our veterans, as they have done all season, did a wonderful job of maintaining calm and composure on the bench. I thought our five-man commitment to defending was strong all night, combined with an extraordinary penalty kill.” Hulton praised the work of the penalty killers and assistant coach Kevin Henderson. “They (penalty killers) have been instrumental in the two series victories,” said Hulton. “Kevin had the penalty kill really, really dialed-in. “That is a challenging unit on the other side, and they had a number of looks, but our guys came up with a lot of desperation, a lot of urgency and a lot of smart play.” Keiran Gallant did not return in Game 3 after going down early with an injury. Jim Hulton said following the game the extent of the injury was unknown. Charlottetown rookie Jarrett Todd did not dress after suffering an injury in Game 2 against the Titan. Hulton said Todd is in the week-to-week category and does not expect the forward to be available for the semifinals. www.saltwire.com/prince-edward-island/sports/charlottetown-islanders-sweep-titan-to-return-to-qmjhl-semifinals-100735196/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1653048482
