Well it was confirmed that the Sea Dogs are guaranteed a spot in the Semi next week. My hope is that Hamilton wins in regulation and knocks out Edmonton. If that happens then if the Sea Dogs win in regulation on Saturday they'd go directly to the final. I might eat my words but I am more confident facing Shawinigan than Edmonton, even with Shawinigan beating Edmonton.

If the Dogs could get special teams figured out they probably could have given Hamilton a good thumping and could have won against Edmonton in Regulation time.
Hopefully going into the next games they will turn it around.

If the Sea Dogs win in regulation on Saturday they go directly to the finals regardless of what happens tonight. Otherwise they play semis no matter what. The only way tonight's game impacts the Sea Dogs is that it could potentially mean they play the semis as the #3 seed instead of #2.

Honestly, this is one of those tournaments where while you want to win (everybody wants to win), there is just so much more to this than the hockey.
Between Bash on the Bay, Fanfest, and the One for All district, there is plenty here for anyone not attending games, for fans of other teams when their team isn't playing, etc.
The world just feels a little bit better when people like Turk, Mike Thomas, Mathieu Joseph and Boko Imama are in town.
Obviously, as a fan, I hope Saint John wins, but more importantly, I hope that the games are entertaining and that people understand that this is a chance to show off the city to people who would otherwise never see it (whether live or on TV).
