Interesting article in l'Acadie Nouvelle regarding the Wildcats plans for the draft. 

Ritchie Thibeau is quoted saying one of their first 5 picks will be a goalie. Their plan is to only have one (maybe two) 16 year olds on their roster next season so a trade is very possible to get a higher ranked player. Looking for quality over quantity. 

Barbashev and Taibel will be back next season. No picks will be made in the Import Draft. 

We could see the first round of free agents announced by next week.

Kind of surprised that they aren’t looking to upgrade on Taibel, but I guess they’re going to give him another year.

I guess it makes sense that they only plan to keep 1 16 year old. They will have very few spots with guys like Lounsbury, Baillergeon and McPhee fighting for spots upfront and Grenier taking a spot on the back end.

Taibel got off to a slow start, but I thought he had a good 2nd half. Good enough to earn another year.

It's not considered to be a deep draft so I like the quality over quantity approach.

Depending on how deep the Euro draft is for their pick, I would entertain moving Barbashev for a 1st round pick...

Be interested to see if the Wildcats dip into the RNS pool again. Kearsey / Smith both ranked by CSR around 22/25, however Kearsey is likely in the first round.
