Wonder if we will make a pick? The rate we’re going trading away most with value we should see what Satny or Brabanec would bring back in a deal

With the Isles passing on both of their import picks, it seems certain that they will move Lepenna before season starts.
Satny is the man in goal next season.

And keeping Brebanec which is an interesting decision. He'd be a great addition to any contending team. Unless he's gone and they managed to talk Michkov into coming here.

Doesn't mean they will keep Brabenec at all. If Brabenec returns, and I believe he will, you can count on him being moved. When he will be moved, that's a call Hulton will make.

Michkov had to be released when Satny and Brabenec reported

Some teams drafted Russians and at least one Belarussian. I know there were rules about not selecting new Russians not already here, but there has to be some loopholes. Anyone here can try and clarify. It isn't that they are already playing here. Could be something about where they have residency...but does anyone know the rule?

If they were selected by a CHL team last year, even if they didn't report, they were eligible to be picked again this year. That's what happened with Miroschnichenko being picked by Blainville, among others.

Especially when he’s under contract in the KHL, they’re not going to let him out of that to come to the CHL.
