No. Definitely not all his fault
Oddly enough our PK is 13 for 13 but we can't seem to keep the puck out of our zone when it counts
Hope we work some of our road trip magic like we always do and come back 4 and 1

Blaming the goalie? Were we watching the same game?
1st goal - One timer from the hashmarks.
2nd goal - Top corner back hand on a breakaway. Probably wants it back but not a weak goal by any stretch
3rd goal - One timer from the slot
4th goal - Deflected off Morin, maybe even Labelle
5th goal - Made a nice save on a deflection then thought he had the puck. Cats D didn't really know what was going on either.

Cats D didn't really know what was going on either. It's not all on him, defensive coverage was not great, but to me he still looks like a rookie out there, not like a high 1st rounder in his 3rd season. His lateral movements are not under control, struggles to track the puck and seems to be "small" in nets most of the time. Maybe he was nervous because it's opening night, but what scares me is that was who he was the last 2 years. |

The defense definitely had a shaky game, and overall they are quite young. However, a goalie can help his defense by controlling rebounds, tracking pucks and playing under control. The two things are often related. |

I don’t think he deserves the bulk of the blame for yesterday, but he definite needs to prove himself in the next three months if he wants to be the starter in the second half. The jury is still out on him … |
