Todd and Bowness healthy scratches…message being sent early? Or just trying to give the kids early equal ice time.

Those two 16yr old are a fantastic base to build around. As is Flanagan, the 17yr old in goal. Great size for a netminder. Flanagan will be a main stay on this team going forward.

It’s impressive that Trudeau and biakabutuka are still at their respective camps. Just goes to show how far Trudeau came over the past few years.
Should be a great game today last game these 2 teams played was a tight one. Hoping to see more scoring from the Islanders today.
Not surprised by the scratches good to get some of the young it in the line up Bowness seemed pretty flat last game and didn’t play with the edge he normally does.
Go Islanders go

Solid first period by the Islanders . Lapenna came up huge a couple of times on the 5 on 3 giving the guys a boost
Really liking Allen sowing some flash and skill battling hard.
Simard-Sancy looks a little lost out of position and slow getting back.
Morneau is speedy had a nice goal.
Horth is looking solid.
Team is battling hard which is not surprising as Hulton always has the team ready to battle

As he should as a 19 year old I suppose, but Morneau has looked great so far.

Biakabutuka is apparently on his way back here as early as tomorrow and is expecting to be gone at Christmas time. So that leaves the Islanders with 4 20 yr olds and Trudeau still up in the air. Also means a defenceman will be moving out

I don't believe Trudeau will be back. He has been assigned to Laval. Saw the transaction move last week. Contract status is still tryout www.eliteprospects.com/player/425657/william-trudeauhis path to pro hockey is pretty defined right now. With a 20 year old player its rare they come back once tagged this late to AHL. I know Phillipe Daoust returned at Christmas to Moncton to be traded to SJ last year. That was an exceptional situation. www.capfriendly.com/depth-charts/canadiensAlso if he were to come back one of those contending teams like Blainville rumored to have a deal in place to take him since 20 year old can be traded at any time.
