The Islanders are back in action this even to kick off a weekend with some tough teams coming into the Eastlink Centre.
Tonight, the Mooseheads are in town. Following this, we'll see Quebec and Rouyn-Noranda later this weekend.
We are dealing with a significant number of injuries so we will see later today what the game time lineup might look like.
Game time is 7:00 PM.

Rimouski had their OA Fillion go down with a nasty leg injury on the weekend so good for both teams. It's the second time Rimouski have had to go get an injury replacement 20 already this year.

Ross Campbell and Simon Duguay are both called up for tonight's game. Also, Peter Repcik is in town to suit up for his first game.
Bowness, Squires, Biakabatuka, Allen, and Michaud are all out with injuries.

Pretty impressed with Vos over the past few games. Makes great plays and doesn’t get to rattled.

Pretty impressed with Vos over the past few games. Makes great plays and doesn’t get to rattled. He is 18.....Personally, I'm not much of a fan. Not a big fan of Jelley either. I do like the energy that Island native, Ross Campbell, 16yrs old, has shown this game.....his 1st QMJHL game. In 4 games with Charlottetown MAAA he has: 4GP 5G 2A 7PTS 18PIM

Great speed and for being so young his hockey IQ is great.

Can’t really complain if our losses are gonna be like that with this inexperienced team…especially missing a few big pieces.

They fought hard until the final buzzer, you really can't ask more than that for a rebuilding team. They're finding great habits already, and once we're ready to contend again they'll be more ready than last year.

I mean sure its great to see such a young team able to hang in but my god its boring hockey Some acrobatic saves by lapenna but aside from that theres no excitement no checking really at all. Will be interesting to see how much they improve thruout the year .

Maybe 4-5 Not trying to be a downer just a realist On a sidenote i was very impressed by both callups for their first game both got regular ice and didnt look out of place

They'll pick up good habits and whoever comes next will pick up good habits. They're setting everyone up for success regardless of where they end up. And the call-ups were great, lots of energy from them and they didn't seem out of place or anything like that.
