A busy weekend continues for the Islanders. Quebec is in town tonight and it is always an exciting evening when Patrick Roy’s team is at the Eastlink Centre.
Quebec returns with a strong team similar to their first place squad from last season.
We will see a clearer picture on the injury situation when the lineup is released this afternoon.
Game time is 7:00 PM.

On a side note, has anyone ever had any luck getting an autograph from Roy. Young fella next door has a hockey card he’d like signed.

Michaud and Bowness return to the lineup tonight.
Not sure where that leaves us for blue liners if Squires and Biakabatuka remain out.
Frankie gets the nod in goal.

Rough game so far lapenna trying to keep the boys in it, it’s a chippy game considering the teams never played against each other this year. Not sure what they see in Simard he looks out of place and seems really slow. 4-1 Quebec after 2 Isles we’re keeping it close but looks like they are going to run away with this one.

Quebec is definitely set up as a contender a couple of tweaks and they will be hard to beat. They are so well rounded from the back end up. Crisp passes always in the shooting lanes and fast at counter attacking.

Funny you mention Kearsey I was watching his play last night he is quietly making great plays that go unnoticed sometimes. He has a great shot as well. A couple of years time you are right a few of these guys will be studs once they get some experience under their belt.

Interesting note in the post game interview, Hulton said he loved that the team was taking all those penalties and still being involved in the game, etc.
Thought that was interesting but definitely true. At first they were kind of getting bullied until they started fighting back and showed they weren’t going to take any shit.
