What are everyones thoughts on the last 3 games? I felt they played well together. Little nervous about injurys but overall I thought they played well

5 out of 6 points is great, but the injuries are starting to pile up - and unfortunately they are mostly the top players. Reynolds - out 4 weeks. Hurtubise -  MacDonald - anyone know what happened to him? Didn't play the third, OT or SO yesterday. |

Yeah, bitter-sweet thanks to the injuries. We have very few key veterans players as it is and 3 of them go down. 3 guys that we should be looking to trade for decent returns. Hopefully they aren't out too long.

I hope they dont trade them all. I know we want a return but would be nice to see some talent here after Christmas

One big thing is that I have seen more development in 12 games this year than I saw during the season at any point in the last cycle. While our numbers look bad, we've played the top 7 teams in the league in 8 of our 11 games. That will even out eventually. Our D and Shingarov were a very welcome surprise over these 3 games. They played well in their own end. While we gave up 9 goals (for standings purposes), one is the shootout winner and one was a nothing PP goal with 3 seconds left in a game that was already over. We will move some bodies, but there's a good chance that a kid like Bellemare might get his chance. On top of that, it is likely that some players might come this way in deals (if you look at possible landing spots for a MacDonald or a Reynolds, you will see that a lot of those teams are pick poor). |
