Obviously he would rather play JrA then play another season in SJ. He Obviously has some injuries......and perhaps would rather play closer to home, hopefully on a good team and with less wear and tear It's not another season. If he stays, he has 3 months left. I guess then he doesn't want to return to SJ. He won't be getting traded.....

If that's the case who's out their for our 3rd 20. While the chances may be slim, a deal with the Armada may be possible - since Nik Hurtubise is from the Montreal area & they have an open overage spot. Clearly that would depend on many factors, notably if BBA is OK to move forward with Gravel (04) and Sheehan (03) in goal. As for teams currently with 4 overagers on their roster, Gatineau (Manix Landry or Cole Cormier ??), Halifax (Stephane Huard Jr.), Sherbrooke (Jakob Robillard) and Victoriaville (Thomas Belgrade (may be injured) or Loick Daigle) likely would be calling Trevor Georgie.

I get suspicious when rumors like this come out. I highly doubt that he wants to play Jr A Trey Lewis finished his career in Jr. A with the Mirimichi Timberwolves. Sometimes if you're nursing an injury you're willing to play closer to home at a lower level, keep hockey fun. Like Lewis, Hurtubise has very little left to prove in the Q. He's won a League title, he's won a Memorial cup, if he's pushing his body too hard to play at this level, I can easily see him wanting to play Jr. A closer to home instead. Lighter schedule, probably doesn't need to hit the gym as hard, etc.

I agree Berner. If Trevor does add another overager, it will likely be a free agent or a trade of a low draft choice or a fringe prospect.

Highly doubt Belgarde is moved out of Victoriaville, they paid a 1st for him in the off season and he’s injured currently. Daigle and/or belzile are the odd-men out in that situation once he’s back. I expect some more OA movement the closer we get to deadline day. Victoriaville, Sherbrooke, and potentially a team like Rouyn or Drummondville can still upgrade on the OA side of things, with Gatineau having a spare solid player available

I have no idea if Hurtubise stays in SJ or leaves but whether he plays in the Q for 3 months or Jr. A his future is the same in hockey regardless.. the guys a university goalie next season most likely. So if you’re him, you can spend 3 months getting your doors caved in or 3 months (maybe more) playing on a potentially good Jr. A team and enjoy what’s left of your junior hockey a little more.
If he does decide he’d rather play Jr. A, then I can’t fault him for that. Do whatever’s going to be the most enjoyable to end your junior career.

Gatineau wanted Kidney but couldn't work out a deal with Bathurst, so they decided to go with their Plan B (Cam MacDonald).
