SJ kicks off a 3 in 4 road trip in Chicoutimi at 8:30 tonight. This is a winnable game.
Lineup is: Burns - Reynolds - Drover Thifault - Burbidge - Reinhart Mateiko - Cournoyer - Elie Laforge Ballard

I think it was a very well played game! They didn't win but they played hard. It was a close game. What more can you ask for.

I notice on last night's lineup they have Laforge wearing an A, along with Reynolds as usual. With MacDonald and Trenholm gone 2 As became available. Not sure Laforge would have been one of my picks. I'd probably go with Drover and Despont. Drover is new to these coaches and most of the players but I think he'd still be one of my picks. Otherwise Tivey.

I expect Laforge earned an ‘A’ due to his attitude and work ethic.

Well, the team seems to have come out with something to prove today.

Great win yesterday, but questionable finish to the game. Not sure why a coach calls a timeout in an 8-1 game and then proceeds to leave his top scorers on the ice. Rimouski were pissed about it and rightly so. They were barking at the Sea Dogs and went after them prior to the face off. That is all on the coach. Players have been benched for taking questionable penalties late in the game but yet the coach puts them in a situation where nothing good can happen. Fortunately for Bileau he wasn’t hurt last night in what could have an avoidable situation. We have seen Tivey healthy scratched when the team was depleted and this sending of messages by the coaching staff seems hypocritical.
This day and age this method no longer work in hockey and only leads to bigger issues. Punish in private praise in public.

We have seen Tivey healthy scratched when the team was depleted and this sending of messages by the coaching staff seems hypocritical. This day and age this method no longer work in hockey and only leads to bigger issues. Punish in private praise in public. The timeout was called to embarrass the kind of team that dives with less than 5 minutes left in an 8-1 game (the Shingarov tripping minor was a shameless dive). The BS at the end of the game, the dive, and everything else happened because the officials didn't feel like doing their jobs properly. The Jacques interference minor in the 2nd period should have been a match penalty (because on top of interference, it targeted Drover's head). The Shingarov trip involved Shingarov trying to play the puck and the Rimouski forward NOT trying to play the puck and diving as he got hit (in the crease mind you). Either give SJ a PP and let the 4th line kill 2 minutes (which likely would have happened) or call the cheapest of crap SJ commits if Crickard put out his top PP unit (like a pick for slightly nudging an opponent off the faceoff) or call both to force 4 on 4 so there is one less person on the ice.

One of these teams actually looks like it cares about developing players and the other played a PP where Cote was the only non 19 or 20 then a PP with MacGillivray and Cote as non-19/20 with less than 3 minutes left in an 8-1 game instead of using the opportunity to get PP time for Kennedy, Coughlin (who has been hurt), and any other of their 05s.
