Iasenza and Victoriaville beat Gatineau 5-2 last night to maintain a 2 point lead in the standings over both Gatineau and Sherbrooke. Nice to see Iasenza get 3rd star in the game with 0 points, but recognizing his game best plus 3, with lots of blocked shots and hard minutes against Gatineau’s top lines. I’m more than happy with the return for Iasenza, but it’s looking less like an overpayment than when the trade was first announced. 5’8” 11th round pick goaltender Nathan Darveau outplays recently acquired Frankie Lapenna. Really looking like something special is going on in Victoriaville. Is the clock going to strike midnight on this team, or are they for real?
