Bathurst has been officially knocked out of a potential playoff spot so it is down to Saint John, Blainville and Val d'Or for 2 spots.
Saint John plays Charlottetown and Bathurst. Val d'Or plays Rouyn x2 Blainville plays Gatineau x2
Saint John certainly has the easier matchups on paper. Val d'Or has run in to a bit of a goaltending issue with their two regular goalies being out injured. On Saturday night, they dressed two goalies who had never played a game in the QMJHL regular season.

Nothing beats a last minute goal to tie the game. Here's hoping the dogs do sneak into the playoffs. Would be good for the young core to get exposure to a playoff series. Even if it's a matchup against Halifax or Quebec.

Even if it's a matchup against Halifax or Quebec. We can't play either. If we make it, we make it as either the 7th or 8th seed in the West (Gatineau or Sherbrooke for opponent).

Gatineau has won 21! in a row. Sherbrooke is probably the lesser of two evils in this scenario, but they're just a point back of Gatineau each with three games to go. They play each other on Wednesday night so let's hope for a record number of suspensions?

Val d'Or got one point in a shootout loss last night vs Rouyn. They are now 1 pt back of SJ with 1 game left and have the same number of points as Blainville.
