We see our first home ice playoff action tonight at the Eastlink Centre.
We're still searching for that perfect 60 minute game that might give us a win in this series. In each of game 1 and game 2 we did a reasonable job of holding the Remparts off for a significant fraction of the game.... but they were able to break it open late and end up with a decisive win in each of game 1 and game 2.
I think the key tonight will be to try and open things up to generate some early offense. And, of course, once again Robillard will have to be ready to stop in the range of 50 shots.
Game time is 7:00 PM.

Hopefully they get a win and get all three home games. Just put the effort in though, that's all that really matters in a rebuild.

Not loving that Topilnyckyj is injured. I didn't see it happen in the last game but he logs a lot of minutes for a 17 yr old

The difference today compared to the first two games was Robillard not making the saves. Soft goals on the first two and the back breaker with 2.9 seconds left in the 2nd.

That one missed call on the cross check to the face of hughes changed the game a bit. Rempart got 2 goals which most likely would not have happened if they had called that. Islanders were still down but that was a terrible missed call.
Still nice to see Keiran get a short handed goal. Still fun to watch the Remparts move the puck and saw a few great saves.

That was an ugly one. Thankfully the season will be over soon. I love going to the games, but the effort just hasn't been there. They've been playing for an early summer for a while now.
