/video/2
I don't see L'Heureux leaving his feet. I don't see him taking an abnormal amount of strides or coming in with any excess speed. Unsure why that was charging based on those angles.

Just an aside: I listened to the Wildcast podcast for the Moncton/Halifax series preview. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I disagree with their take on this call, but they're a knowledgeable and entertaining group.

What a homer statement about a high hit. That hit was clean hit. It was massive, but clean. Moment of impact was into the chest, which you can see in the video.. Loshin came across the middle without seeing what was coming. Loshin’s head snapped back, but the impact was chest.

The Wildcats player's head snaps back, but I disagree with the description that it was the principle point of contact.

Why was the goal by Doucet waved off?

Why was the goal by Doucet waved off? Offside I believe.

Biggest discussion on the hit by L'heureux should be why? Why did he need to engage right there? Consider the score. The 3rd period was beginning to trudge along with penalties - many/most to Moncton.
A statement hard hit wasn't needed there. And it did pi5s off the refs for sure as it made things worse.
I don't think by book it was a charge. The refs saw the hit and huddled on what to call it after already sending #66 to the room. That was a convenient tag because it didn't require a video review like a hit to head may have. So they weren't going call it that if not sure since if they had to review it may have negated the 5 to a 2 minute call.
Zachary L'Heureux is playing with one hand tied behind his back. So he especially just needs to rethink how to play and in what situations. Any game misconduct probably becomes an automatic suspension if its added to his running total from season. Unless they start with a clean slate. Similar situation for MacKinnon in game misconduct this season.

Why was the goal by Doucet waved off? Offside I believe. if it were offside a linesman would have taken the phone. And time would have been reset to the offside. (And faceoff would have been outside the zone) More likely net was loose from mooring or puck hit netting before or a gloved play before the play that scored. Something hard to pick out.

The ref’s tossed him because Loshin snapped his head back after contact, but it was a clean hit. You have to win 4 games to win the series, L’Heureux laying the smack down is part of the game.

Don’t come through the middle of the ice with the puck if you don’t want to get hit. It’s a clean hit and nothing to even talk about IMO. There shouldn’t be any suspension coming because the hits clean. In real time, you may not know but when you slow it down or see a replay, it’s nothing except a big open ice hit.

This is a SERIES. A hit in game 2, game 3… they can pay dividends in games 6 or 7. No player should ever stop playing. Once you jump over the boards you better be ready.
