I predicted a Moncton win last night but I didn't expect Halifax to look that rusty. I don't think Halifax has to play desperate, but I do think they have to play more straight-forward and push the intensity level. Moncton was able to coast through the 3rd period last night because they built up enough of a lead to give them that luxury. Halifax needs to make Moncton play from behind and make the Cats play at their level of intensity in order for that fatigue factor to even be a factor.
Jake Todd is the 13th forward taking warmup instead of Welsh. Lines are mixed up to start the game. I thought L'Heureux played well last night and is due to break out. Unfortunately his unsportsmanlike penalty was a bit of a turning point. If Halifax is to get very far in the playoffs, he needs to be at his best.
L'Heureux - Lawrence - Boucher Biasca - Vidicek - Dumais Doucet - Cataford - MacPhee Peitzsche - Fournier - Crosby
Moravec - Furlong MacKinnon - Martin Schultz - Phillips
Rousseau James
I think Halifax will start off a bit slow, but wake up and eventually take this one. 5-2 Moose.

First off...What an embarrassment out there last night in moose country no one could seem to pull the trigger on the moose’s end Law,Douce,Dumais… come on! Get your act together guys, you are playing all bunched up no consistent effective breakouts, over passing on plays in the wildcats end, just sloppy hockey look like a bunch of junior B players out there…too many pretty plays resulting in turnovers. Need a more North/south game to be effective. Moncton isn't going to give you much in the neutral zone for passes.
On the other hand what a hot stick Barbie has for the cats ,this guy is a pure bread stud that has what it takes to make it to the top level (NHL). This kid wears his heart on his sleeve and plays with tons of emotion and grit. The bloody nose after seeing his celly just goes to show what a warrior this kid is and has all the boys following suit and buying into the playoff system they have deployed. Moose better wake up or unfortunately hearts will break very fast in moose country.

Much more concerted effort to get pucks toward the net in that period. Even though their shot total wasn't abnormally high I thought they pressed Moncton much more than at any point last night. Keep them defending and that fatigue factor might start coming into play.

You're on your way to an accurate prediction it looks like.

You're on your way to an accurate prediction it looks like. As much as they had a lot in the tank last night, I assumed a back to back they’d have less while the moose would come out flying and well here we are

Yah everything went right that period. Moose got some breaks but the breaks are generated by going towards the goal with shots and with bodies in front.
Play poised and don't get caught up in the chippiness game here in the 3rd.

I am far from a Zachary L’Heureux fan…..but no way that’s a 5 min penalty.
And of course you will be without L’Heureux for an extended period of time.
Very poor call.

5 for charging. Did he leave his feet? Minor for charging + apparent injury = 5 minute major and a game misconduct.
I don't see an intent to injure with that hit but with it being L'Heureux I'm sure there will be no benefit of the doubt when it comes to a decision on discipline.
In fairness, it's a 6-1 game. L'Heureux had one job, and that was to get to the end of the game without doing anything.

Very good bounce back game overall. Did what they needed to do. Moncton got their split which they should be happy with. But Halifax should also be happy with this one.
