He's a big body
Plays a responsible game
Has flashes of offensive potential
Points wise madly inconsistent
on a deep team he should be a very solid 3rd line player

I think you can make a case that Repcik was the most skilled player in our lineup last year. But, when you look at his stats he seems to leave you wanting a little bit more. He scored at a 0.63 point per game pace.... I think you'd like more from an 18 y/o Euro who is not a rookie.
Repcik was traded to us in October and started well. He was part of the Slovakia entry in the World Juniors and had a great tournament. Some of the local news stories mentioned the hope that this might give him a confidence boost coming back to major junior after Christmas. Going back and looking at his monthly splits, h did score much better in the second half. In October he only had points in 1 of his first 9 games with us (1-1-2 for the month). In November he was 1-3-4 in 12 games. Before the Christmas break he went 3-1-4 in 4 games.
Then in the new year he was:
-2-4-6 in 9 games in January -1-9-10 in in 11 games in February -1-5-6 in 9 games in March.
His shooting percentage was very low....7.6% so there should be regression there, considering that he's a skilled forward. He's probably a guy who looks to pass the puck too much, perhaps.
I guess for us it was becoming clearer we were going to draft 2 new Euros this year (probably a goalie) so the Volts were able to get a good discount on him. He could be a very good player for Drummondville this season... or he could be a guy you look to move out and upgrade at Euro if the offense seems a little shy.
He could have been a nice veteran fit for us if we retained him as a 19 y/o Euro for 23-24. We will struggle to put the puck in the net and you can have too many skilled forwards.

Normally I like your takes... i disagree pretty strongly on this one
He was far from our most skilled forward
I don't think he looked to pass too much... he just doesn't have a particularly great shot
He was very good on the PK for us .... tho with our lack of specialty teams success thats a bit of a misnomer.... I remember him missing on several breakaways
Bottom line he's joining his 4th CHL team in 3 years across 2 leagues
He was very good in the world juniors I agree

The skills are mostly all defensive. Look at his role at the WJHC...100% defensive.
The guy just can't produce points consistently as a top forward. Perfect middle 6 forward in a league like this for a good team as a 19yr old. Reliable PK guy who can grind out 1 goal games. But I don't think he will be a 25 goal or 60 point guy.

Ok…..good player on a bad team then…..am I talking the 2022-23 Charlottetown Islanders or 2023 Team Slovakia? I suppose I’m talking about both. It will be seen if he’s able to take a step and be a top 2 line player for the Volts. If not, they upgrade at Christmas and move him to a weak team. For them, they got him on the cheap so it’s a reasonable way for them to start the season. Yeah….could have 60 points as a 19 y/o player but also could have 35. I think you have the wrong expectations if you think you're getting a top 6 PP guy. This is a bottom 6 PK guy. Very good defensively. Maybe he does breakout at 19 but I'm betting he ends up as the 3C and your top penalty killer before he's a top 6 threat and on PP1.

The volts club finished 16 on 18 with 205 goals scored un attack last year and se lost or top scorer with Jérémy Lapointe 40 goals so I guarantee you that hé Will start on the top 6 . I don't know where hé Will end up though.

It's not a question of waiting at 32 points last year hé Would have been pour 6th best scorer ans he Will be A year older and year after year se see players explode between 18 and 19 or 19 and 20 years old so he Will have His guaranteed chance.
