Firstly, Halifax played a fantastic game, so give them that. No question the Cats had visible jitters. Passes out of reach, bumbling pucks etc. They never really had much of anything going until the goal mid way through the third. Then they were a completely different team the last 10 mins just couldn’t beat Rousseau.
-Steinman was lights out again. He looked very composed and in control on every save -Loshing was flashy but trying to do way too much out there playing hero puck trying to force plays that just aren’t there -Mueller to me looked like the hardest working forward out there -First impression with Sumpf was not great. He had a lazy back check that led to a loshing penalty and kind of a bad turnover that led to the EN goal. But it is one game not going to hang too much on that -The rookies looked good. You can tell Desnoyers is a guy that just knows where to be. Reads the play really well. Carrier can be a bulldog. I liked Trenholm stepping in for him although it killed a potential PP when the Cats had all the momentum in the 3rd -There was a lot of weak clearing attempts and defensive zone turnovers. This was maybe their Achilles heal last year. Hoping it is not a repeat of last season

I don't think it can be understated how much of an improvement Morin will make for this team.
When your third pairing becomes AGF/Grenier and you are rolling out 2 minute logging guys in Boutin & Morin on the other 2 pairings you arent going to be exposing that bottom pairing as much which AGF will improve. I thought Zielinski was much better than AGF so I'd give him the top 4 minutes for the time being.
Now that they've lost I'd imagine the other 2 guys will draw into the lineup, not an easy answer for who should sit though.

thanks for the info, I know the coach moves his lines around but was wondering what lines are Desnoyer's and Carrier playing on ?

I'd chalk this game up to Home Opener jitters especially with all the event and fanfare taking the players out of normal routine.
With that being said, I think Halifax caught us off guard after having a few easier games early. Even without Dumais they showed what level we are going to have to get to in order to be a real contender.
I don't think a humbling game like this is necessarily a bad thing and could be a good wake-up call.

thanks for the info, I know the coach moves his lines around but was wondering what lines are Desnoyer's and Carrier playing on ? Desnoyers plays on the 2nd line and 1st PP while Carrier plays on the 4th line with no PP and no PK. I would prefer Carrier with Desnoyers and Mercier than Smith...Not impressed at all by Glas I would rather play Deslauriers.

Jacob Steinman has been lights out so far for Moncton. Very impressive. He has to be in the top 5 goalie conversation. in no particular order, Mathis Rousseau, William Rousseau, Jacob Steinman, Nathan Darveau, Riley Mercer?
