The Islanders head out on the road for a big 4 game road trip. They are in Bathurst tonight and from there they will head up to Quebec for weekend games in Baie-Comeau, Chicoutimi and Rimouski before returning home.
This will be a very tough trip. Both Baie-Comeau and Rimouski are off to very strong starts. It would be great to start this trip off with a win tonight.
Game time in Bathurst is 7:00.

If you took out the 2 games against the Halifax jr B team and the pp would the 20 year olds have a point Horth has been fine and the other 2 are ok out of the 3 I am most disappointed in Morneau he has been a turnover machine thus far.. also the little bit I watched last night I thought Jacques had a nice game.. still would be nice to see Conrad in there sooner than later |

Not that it matters at all, and the site could be inaccurate…but Harry Clements was named second star with a stat line of 0G 0A 2PIM -1.
What is going on in Bathurst? Not like there were 7 goals or anything haha

I'll be curious if Alexis Jacques hopped on the bus for the road trip up to Quebec. Hinkley is due back, but there's lots of unknown as related to Conrad and whether he's available on this trip.
Jacques was able to step in and played pretty well last night. Though he was a cut in camp, he's played in the league at 16 and 17 and was off to a great start in Jr. A. We acquired him late in the trade period and he promptly got suspended after his first exhibition game.... we really didn't get a chance to get a good look at him, plus I assume this was close to the CEGEP roster cut down deadline.
Maybe Jacques gets a longer look over the weekend?

Not like there were 7 goals or anything haha The 3 stars of a hockey game has never been "who were the best 3 players tonight" and never will be. Trying to read anything into it and tie it to performance will just frustrate you. They're a promotional gimmick that come from the eyes of 1 person in attendance and may be slanted for home town players or other reasons that also have nothing to do with performance. |

Isles in 60 says Hughes and Conrad are out for personal reasons…can this mean injuries or is there something else going on?

Certainly not ideal.. to be missing Conrad especially if it’s personal reasons hopefully whatever it is it gets worked out and he’s back
