Sitting here yelling "THIS IS THE NIGHT, HUCKINS!" Lets go! Pulling for this kid! I love him and Hughes on the same line.

To me, we are leaps and bounds better from last years team. But is it just me or is the passing atrocious this year? It seems to start with bad decisions or bad drop pass and more often than not, it's lead to turn over after turn over. If they could sharpen their passes or make better decisions, I think they'd be a force to deal with.
Thoughts?

Absolutely.... And you've made the point over and over from the start of the 2022-23 season that there isn't an abundance of offense on the horizon in our pipeline. So far in 2023-24, it looks like we'll follow the same formula as last season. That is, try to find a goalie that can get in a hot streak and run a save percentage around 0.920-0.930 and play him hard to try to accumulate as many points as fast as possible. Right now, it looks like they are trying to size up both Bickle and Ozols to see if either guy has a hot streak like that in him. It looked like it might be Bickle, but Bathurst on Saturday put 4 past him. I'm not too worried about guys like Morneau and Kearsey who have 9 and 8 points respectively....0.75 and 0.66 points per game. I'd love more goals, but at least they are in the offense. The other names are major red flags though. We are approaching 20% of the season being complete and Huckins has 3 points and that's it! There have been a number of 20's moved in the past few weeks... and sometimes you can even get them for free out of region. I've posted on the boards that I really like the look of Huckins' play. But a guy with his age and experience has to produce some offense. Is it time to look a different direction? Michel with goose eggs is concerning. He showed some offensive promise last season. Hughes... well...it doesn't help that he was out of the lineup...but he's mostly been playing in a 3rd/4th line role since the start of the season and he'll need to produce to move up the lineup. Horth is still shooting the lights out...but his shooting percentage is 23.1%. His offense will cool off a bit in the coming weeks. We'll need some of this production from our veterans pronto! Simply put need some offense from some league vets Zero points from michel and hughes thus far Zero goals from huckins and kearsay One goal from morneau That isnt gonna cut it

However, I’ve enjoyed the games because other aspects have improved so drastically from last season. And that’s really great to see with such a young team. I do suspect some moves in the future as far as trades. For me, it’s bad passing from guys who should know better. It tends to lead to turn overs or 2 on 1 breaks in the other direction. How many of those have we seen? A bajillion so far. Anyways, I’m not trying to be negative. Always things to improve on. I love the attitude of this years roster. The never quit attitude. If they can practice better zone entry and smarter passing, more scoring opportunities will come from it. 👍
