well said gordie is a moron straight up Lol. Sometimes we all have that moment where we say " shit I wish I hadn't said that". It looks like Dwyer hands down won the GM 2023/24 Christmas trading period. hahaha gordie really deserves a beer when he gets back

At least everyone can stop bitching and moaning about Dwyer not doing anything now.. what a way to end the trade period.

Gordie went from looking like the biggest loser of the trade deadline to cleaning house.
Great stuff, hats off to him for his patience. I'm surprised he couldn't move out Roelens, but in the end, he got a TON of value for 3 players and left this team in a decent spot for the rest of the season.

At least this team can still somewhat compete the second half as well. And more ice time given to guys like Belanger to develop. What an unreal day.
Will Reynolds is also an interesting pick up, NB native and former 3rd rounder, could be a decent piece moving forward if he develops well.

I Don't see dwyer moving anyone else I think this will the team going forward. I don't know why he didn't buy gendron and Fauchon that way there he would have completely ruined the teams assets If this is the team moving forward it’s likely a failure on his part unless he truly believes he can get the same/similar price for Henneberry/Higgins/etc. next year which is doubtful.. I’d understand not being able to move Roelens or Orr due to restraints. But you have to maximize on the others. This team as it stands if all of the above move, would have Huggan, and Keller as locks for OAs next season with Andrews likely being the 3rd. Which would be ok for a team rebuilding. Holding onto them and losing multiple potential assets would be a huge miss. Not sure it makes sense keeping Keller. He's a euro. Might make more sense to keep Fleming and draft another euro. You can even draft a 17 YO euro goalie.

First off, doing well this trade period doesn't erase last Christmas trade period. If he got decent value for Kidney, you would not be able to count all the first round picks for the next 3 drafts on two hands. Reality check moment
Now to think about the future. Euro draft and if the team keeps Fleming, that's 2 Euro picks. Normally the Titan strike out more than they get a hit. A couple of good players who show up would be nice.
Usually good (not great) 20YO are available at a decent price at the draft. The Titan don't have to keep any weak 20YO players just because they are on the team this season.

So we acquired Arsenault in the Kidney trade Which means that trade turned into two first and bobby orr and he has been amazing for the titan. Maybe we could have gotten 3 firsts but very unlikely. We acquired 4 firsts 3 2nds (one being SJ and another being capes) those will be good 2nds at that. I think gordie really erased last deadline

Hennessy trade recoup. 2 firsts, a 2nd and a throw in and you don't consider Kidney worth 3 firsts?

Henneberry will be back as a 20 and one of the best 20s in the league he will be traded for a 1st plus next year. You don't actually think kidney was gonna play in the Q as a 20 did you? Lol it's hard to get 3 first for a player for half a year and we got an OA who will hit 80pts plus this year along with 2 firsts. And enough of this history mumbo jumbo the trade was good and the Melanson return was really good so the two deadlines gordie had with the titans he did really good you just have to trust the process
