Don’t know if Campbell will be back this year to be honest - Romeo probably in the same boat. I know it’s not related to on ice play but there was an incident off ice last weekend. Probably will come out at some point -

Well this is great a bunch of speculative posts that really don't paint things in a good light..... we've been rather fortunate the past few years to avoid much in the way of off ice drama.... but this year now we have had a couple of players scratched for non injury related reasons and lotsa speculation involved as well as having our top pick leave the team for a short period early on...... this kinda stuff reminds me of the ol Rocket days

Campbell and Romeo will not be in the lineup for some time.
Two separate incidents......two serious incidents.
No "speculation" of said incidents will be allowed on this forum....unless publicly released.
Not good for the persons....and not good for the team 2nd.
Again, no "alleged" acquisitions to be posted on this forum unless information is realesed by media

I'm not sure what happened with Romeo and Campbell but it sounds like Hulton and the rest of the management is holding them accountable which is a very good sign for the off ice leadership of the franchise.
Despite the negativity it's hard not to feel a bit of pride there that they actually seem to be dealing with the issue and not just burying it.

As I mentioned on a different teams board, I think that Tyler Peddle would be a good addition to the Isles and he fits into their age group.
He was drafted 2nd overall in the 2021 QMJHL draft.
He's listed as 6'1" and 200lbs.
He was drafted by Columbus in the 2023 NHL draft.
At 16yrs old he had 35pts.
At 17yrs old he had 41pts.
This season he's been knocked down the lineup and is looking for a trade. This season as a 18yr old he has just 6pts.
The Isles and Drummondville have been very good trade partners the past few years.....and I would not be surprised to see Hulton go after Peddle.
I think with a fresh start....and with Hulton.....he could become a very solid player for this team.

The list of teams Peddle will report to will be very short, I do think the Isles are on that list.

I also am a fan of 18yr old Vince Elie from the Seadogs....
What would be the cost to get him?
If they could add Peddle and Vince Elie who are both 18yrs......that would set the Isles up for a solid 2 year run

I am unsure of what picks we hold. But looking at our roster…other than our 20’s…who could we move? Genuine question. I know everyone can be moved essentially. It’s a matter of who would Jim be willing to move I guess. Assuming we keep our core rookie base. Conrad, Kearsey, etc |

I understand that he is a solid player.....was just wondering what the cost would be Honestly, with Charlottetown not holding a first this year (the year SJ is actively working towards), it wouldn't likely happen without Conrad or Kearsay. Charlottetown's assets don't line up well with what Saint John is doing. I could see Elie being someone that a contender goes after for a two year run or I could see him staying given that he is likely to play 2 more seasons. |
