The Islanders head up to the province of Quebec this weekend for a Thursday-Friday-Saturday trio.
First action on this trip is Thursday night in Sherbrooke. We are on a 5 game losing streak, so a three game trip into Quebec comes at a tough time. That being said, Friday we visit Shawinigan and Saturday we are into Quebec... and Shawinigan and Quebec are both below us in the standings. A trip home with no points would be a very disappointing result.
Game time in Sherbrooke is 8:00 PM AST.

Hopefully we can sweep the trip. I haven't followed Sherbrooke too closely but it seems like they've struggled this year.
Hopefully we can kick off the trip with a big win. We usually play pretty well in Sherbrooke.

We usually play pretty well in Sherbrooke. They have one of the top goalies in the league and are 13-9-1-2, despite losing 10 of their top 11 scorers from last year. They certainly have taken a step back, but I wouldn't exactly call it struggling.

I'm really curious about what Sherbrooke has. The had a strong team last year and turned over most of their team, yet they still have a team playing well above .500 hockey. Their goaltender, Samuel St-Hilaire, is awesome and is among the league leaders in most goaltending categories.

Very busy stretch for us now.. 3 in 3 in Quebec, before two days off and then a 3 in 4 at home next week.
Piss poor scheduling by the league. Why do we have three games at home next week, and two of them are not even weekend games?!
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday is just asking for teams to lose money with small attendances.

Always great to see Flanagan in the lineup!
Surprised they split up the "17yr old line".

Here is my contribution to the conversation:
Shoot. The. Puck.
How the crap can you score if you don’t put the puck on the net? Stop with the cross ice passes trying to get a perfect set up. Ugly goals need love too. And they count.
Shoot. The. Puck.
The end.

First 7 minutes was all Isles. Then they fell asleep. After we scored and then Horth took a penalty…that was the end of it. Bickle played great. Kept them in it.

Is this the worst stretch of Islanders hockey we have seen since Hulton took over?
lots of winnable games we are tossing away with our total lack of offense... disheartening

Maybe making up for the fact that the Isles were on the road for 2 weeks when the U17s were here??
