I would be interested to know of any other sport that changes the rules after a penalty?

Can we all agree though that one good rule change would be to just blow the whistle at those scrums along the boards where players are just hacking and poking around the legs for the puck? The only way it speeds the game up is it keeps the clock going, beyond that it's just tedious to watch.

I would be interested to know of any other sport that changes the rules after a penalty? Not a great way to look at it because penalties don't exist in the same way in other sports. Penalties don't exist in baseball beyond the new pitch clock giving balls if a pitcher isn't throwing the ball in time. NBA has fouls but no time off the court. NFL has flags which kill the play they happen on depending on which side committed the foul. Soccer has cards which can see the team play with less players. NHL is the only sport where your infraction puts you off the ice and leaves your team short during that time. So it makes sense that a rule like icing is wiped out during that 2 minutes.

The Champions Hockey League has a few rules mentioned in this thread and I like it.
-Infinite goals on all power plays(like majors already are)
-Shorthanded goal ends power play(except majors)
Another one note mentioned here but I also like:
-All penalties served even if a goal is scored between the infraction and the whistle
The last one especially makes sense. As of now, penalties aren't even recorded if a goal is scored during the delayed penalty.

It happens once, teams get a warning, after that 2 minutes. You'd eliminate it overnight. Nothing sucks the life out of a game than 20 seconds of nothing happening. I'd rather just get the face-off.
