The Sea Dogs home stand ends this week with two mid week games.
First the Islanders are in town. The Sea Dogs are 1 point behind the Islanders with a game in hand. All games this year have been competitive so looking for a close game. Also the Sea Dogs are collecting socks for 20K Sock day so bring a new pair of socks to the game if your going to support the cause.
On Thursday the Shawinigan Cataractes only visit to TD Station happens. Vince Elie is back in town since he was traded at the end of the deadline. The Cataractes are tied with the Islanders in the overall standings so another competitive game could be in store.

I thought the top 6 played really well controlled the play bottom 6 not so much Amyot was our best defenseman hes gonna be good one with 7 healthy defenseman i would like to see a rotation give Dumahal some playing time. Robinson should get the start tonight.

Robinson is playing Simek - Mateiko - Fournier Peddle - Elliott - Beveridge Calder - Laforge - Beaulieu Reynolds - Groulx - Beaudry Tivey - Ianniello MacLean - Amyot Bilodeau - Duhamel Richard Robinson Beaudry's first game. I'm interested to see what he brings. He posted an unimpressive 19 points in 42 games as a 16 year-old in midget last year, before his 18 in 11 playoffs and a 16 point in 30 game first half in Jr. A. I don't think I've seen a prospect just suddenly turn things around like that. |

Well clearly the big win over Victoriaville the other night had no lasting positive effect. These were 2 games in which they needed to pick up points and unless things change in a hurry they'll get none. The good news is they're about to hit the road where they seem to play better.

I have listened to a couple interviews the GM has made and I am genuinely curious how, after trading your top 3 scorers, they feel they can still make the playoffs. Since the return from Christmas break they are averaging 1.9 goals a game (ok we will call it 2) and giving up 4.8 (5)

And Gatineau wins again. I'm not too concerned about holding onto the 15th or 16th playoff spot but it would be nice to stay ahead of them since we have their 1st round pick but not out own.
