After what feels like an eternity it's finally game day!
Sounds like the Islanders will be in a much more full Centre 200 which is awesome news to hear.
Both teams are 2-2-0 vs each other this year with Horth (24+14=39) and Squires (23+24=47) leading their teams in points.
Islanders are 11-12-0 on the road while Cape Breton is 13-12-0 at home. We surprisingly have an edge on them for goals for, but they hold a significant advantage for goals against.
Game time is 7 pm, as always it can be listened to on 93.1

I think that one is supposed to hit us here on PEI in some capacity.

Hopefully CB doesn't get hit too hard! Eagles have been playing great and I'm sure fans are excited about it and would want to fill the rink (if safe to do so!)

I liked how the Isles played against Bathurst, and that win is definitely a confidence booster, but the Eagles are at another level.
Hoping the Islanders play well and make it a competitive game. Romeo has been playing well for them, I'm sure he'll be looking to score one (or a few) on his old team.

They announced that the Saturday game between us and Cape Breton (Feb. 3) would be postponed due to the bad weather forecasted for Cape Breton.
I assume the Islanders packed up and headed for home after the game with plans to play the postponed game to be announced later.

That wasn't a bad game. They put up a solid fight against one of the hottest teams in the league. I'm impressed with the turnaround the Eagles have had this year. Time will tell if it's a sustainable turnaround. I hope it is. Would be nice to see them actually challenge to be the last standing Maritime team.
