I'm still not convinced having young guys play on a bad team helps in any way but others disagree. The guys who are 19 and 20 today were all 16/17 and on not so great teams at some point. You don't have to be convinced of it. But there's literally like 50 years of historical records that show the progression of players from 16-20 through the Q. If you were running a bad team why would you try and purposely dress players you can't develop for future seasons? Or why would you want some midget coach developing your top draft pick vs having them eat, sleep, and breath the sport at the Q level? Ultimately you can't be good every year. So I think its harder to convince someone that you should lose with bad veterans then it is to say that young guys shouldn't play on bad teams.

In a rebuild you have to stick with the plan or you will keep sitting in the middle and never become a contender. There are some good young players on this team that will and have developed during the season. The team has a good young goalie, some good young D and a good group of young forwards. The only issue I see is we don’t seem to have an idea on when they are going to take a run. If we build around the 07’s we have a few solid 06’s who could be here at 20 plus with so many picks this year does the team rotate and look at building around the 08’s. The big question are the coaches the right ones to develop the kids?

Too tired to make a new thread so will just ask here… Halifax tonight and again no Mann, Bellieau nor Matteo. How come?
