Saint John: Telegraph Journal is reporting that JSM Sports Entertainment has been awarded the contract for events, concerts and general programming at the new 'Gathering Space' at Market Square/boardwalk. It was previously managed by the Tenant's Association of Market Square.
JSM Sports Entertainment is also the parent company to the Saint John Sea Dogs.
“Council voted to approve a licence agreement for “events, concerts and general programming” at the stage, currently under construction as part of renovations to Market Slip, in a motion that came from that evening’s closed committee of the whole session. The contract was for a numbered company, 750561 NB Inc., which Mayor Donna Reardon confirmed was JSM Sports Entertainment.
“They claim to have a connection with the entertainment world, so we’ll sign that and see where it goes,” she said. “I’m thrilled with it because we have a perfect stage down there … the tenants’ association used to do it in the past, but it’s a professional group that will do that for us, so I think it’s great.”
JSM Sports Entertainment describes itself as an investment and holding company “focused on owning, operating, and investing in the sports and entertainment sector,” and is the parent company of the Saint John Sea Dogs”.

This is kind of a funny quote to me
“They claim to have a connection with the entertainment world, so we’ll sign that and see where it goes,”
