Any thoughts on who is back from last season? Locks: Peddle Miller Mateiko Beveridge Groulx Reynolds Mann Tivey Bilodeau Amyot Duhamel Robinson Add on to them Yared, Schenk, Dube and Rozzi (if he comes). On D, MacLean is very likely to make it. Assuming that he's put in the work, Allen is likely a top 9 on this team. Once you have all of those guys in, you are looking at spot 12, 13, 14 up front and whether you prefer a Beaulieu/Calder/Beaudry/Benoit or a Beaudoin(17)/Campbell(18)/Daley(18)/Ferdinand(17)/Janulis(17)/Battaglia(18)/Leard(18). Personally, I would favor the 2 17s for spots (more room for growth) and then whoever shows best among the 18s. On D, Bonnet, Scanzano, Henry and Janulis look like they could be fighting for spots. There is a chance that 2 of them take spots depending on MacLean/Duhamel (keeping in mind that MacLean is 18). In net, if Doyon-Cataquiz comes, I would assume that he'll be the backup (he appears to have starter potential). If not, Girard should be the front runner.

In terms of who we don't expect:
Glance is USNTDP committed Morin is a returning USHL player Monteiro is expected to play for Waterloo (and NCAA next year)
Krayer is unlikely to come as a 14th rounder, whose brother is NCAA committed (but you never know)
Daley and Chery are unknowns. Daley might come back (and could be a candidate to make the team) or he might stay south and Chery has little chance of making the team this year, so he might not show up at all this year.
On D, Felicio is a returning USHL player. Chartrand has NCAA committed and is expected to play for Cedar Rapids (USHL)
McFadden and Poirier are complete unknowns (I expect both to stay south, but either/or could make a case for a roster spot.
With Karolis Janulis invited, I have to believe that Matas will be coming to camp.
In nets, Labbe has signed with Nanaimo of the BCHL and is committed to Union in the NCAA. Doyon-Cataquiz has played south of the border for a while, so he is unlikely, but hasn't NCAA commmitted, so there is still a glimmer of hope.

I might of missed something, isn't Ianniello supposed to be returning?

I might of missed something, isn't Ianniello supposed to be returning? He's 1 of 3 OA. SJ doesn't have room for 3 OA on D and Ianniello is the 3rd best of the 3.

Unfortunately when you are 20 it really becomes a numbers game. I like Ianniello but with the way the team is setting up I would agree they don’t need 3 20s on D. Do you not give Richard a chance to make the team?

Do you not give Richard a chance to make the team? I have no expectations of Richard. On the one hand, his potential was as high as anyone SJ has drafted on the blue line. On the other hand, his injury last year really hurt his development, so while he could potentially be fairly high on the depth chart if he can regain his confidence, it is difficult to project anything from him.

Richard played a bit of Forward last season . Wonder if he pulls an Akkouche and is moved up front.

I don’t remember how he did as a forward. Could he make the jump?

I don't remember seeing him much. And when he was in the lineup he didn't play much. I think he is better off in Jr A

Owen Arnold has finally been added to SJ's list. No idea what the delay was.

What is the story on him? Think he has a chance to make the team? To me it sounds weird to have him in the mix as he is 19. That would give them 2-20 and 2-19 plus the 17 & 18 yr olds

We will probably see a trade before or at the camp involving some Def.
