Through 4 games, he's played 4th line twice, 1st line once and 2nd line once. He has 1 assist due to inconsistent ice time and linemates. Staying in Youngstown could also compromise his BC scholarship. So maybe he's hoping that the Q to NCAA changes will actually happen. Can you lose your scholarship for bad grades? Because would BC allow him to play in the Q knowing that changes may actually never be allowed? Someone with his talent on the 4th...something wrong definitely happened

The other problem is that the scholarship is not binding, meaning that if Morin isn't playing well, BC can simply not honor the commitment.

So if Beverage is back, and Morin is coming..... who do we drop to open spots Calder and Reynolds or Beaulieu. tough call. Beaulieu has been with the team since he was 16. Reynolds got better. Calder can score...lol yeah wouldn't want to be the one taking that decision.

Technically, the only restriction is that the team has to cut 1 skater. The maximum is 25. They could theoretically cut a D (or Cross).

I like Calder, and nice to have a hometown boy on the team. He might not score goals, but he is very physical. We do have a lot of D so that would be an option. Cross in my option has a been a great pick up and looked great on that first line last weekend. Going to be a tough call

I thought there was something about school.

Would that mean only the English kids can be cut? I assume all the French kids are in CEGEP.

I am not 100% on the rules, but I believe that SJ could cut Beaulieu (because his Jr A rights are held by Grand Falls) and could theoretically cut someone like Caputo if his rights were acquired by a MHL team. Also, not every Quebec born kid is enrolled in CEGEP (just most of them).

I don't think that first language or academic preferences makes a difference. I am not sure how things are done if they are in CEGEP or in school. I am just wondering how things work as I know there was a push to have team selected by a specific date so kids can get enrolled into school in person or online.
