Lemieux-Goupil looked very comfortable, he looks a lot more calm.
Jardine’s skating also looks strong, controlled the puck well and was physical.

Jardine looked really good thought he was our best D man in the ice. Forwards don’t look great

Jardine looked really good thought he was our best D man in the ice. Forwards don’t look great The forwards got better as the game went on, Valente stood out for me (in terms of players we don’t know will be on the roster). Goriunov impressed as well. Power play looked solid, lots to build off of.

There remain many questions about where the offense will come from for this team.
The third 20 spot (after Goriunov and Ruccia) likely goes to Hughes over Vos or Steen if they feel he can provide strong consistent offense. But if he is not the answer and/or there look to be 18/19 y/o players emerging to cover the bet offensively, then maybe they go with one of Vos or Steen.
