Goriunov sits and Ruccia, Steen, and Hughes in the lineup.
Prove it time for Hughes and Steen. When none of our 20’s are attending NHL camps, there is no reason to drag this into the season. They can have things settled on three by next weekend!

Conrad has been terrible all night good thing it’s pre season.. Steen reminds me of Hunter Drew just a nothing flashy hard nosed defender

Campbell-Butler-Shields has been the best line out there tonight, when Campbell isn’t sitting in the box… 8 minute in penalties for him 2 periods. 🙄 |

Conrad has been terrible all night good thing it’s pre season.. Steen reminds me of Hunter Drew just a nothing flashy hard nosed defender Steens been solid all preseason no doubt. Like you said, nothing flashy but a big body and steady. Agree on Conrad. Yikes. But this whole game really has been a yikes. |

What a snipe by Hughes to turn the momentum around. A pure gosl scorers goal on the leagues best goalie. Ruccia has only been fair to date. Hope he can turn it around

Gravel isn’t anywhere close to the leagues best goalie.. he’s behind Mercer, Rousseau, St-Hillaire there’s a reason why no contender picked him up

The season has not started yet, so we don't really know who the hot goalie is yet. But best goalie cannot be determined till the end of a season. Saying this, who will be the HOT goalie for the first half has yet to be determined. Gravel was hard to beat last night, and the laser shot that scored on him after the face off was deadly. |

It's always a moving target. I mean, Nobody knew who Samuel St-Hillaire was until last season, his 19 year old season. Remember that Sherbrooke didn't trust him to carry the load in the playoffs and went out and acquired Olivier Adam. Chase Marchand was a Jr. A goalie until he won R-N a championship and helped push the Marner-Domi-Tkuchuk Knights to overtime in the Mem Cup final. Of course, history is not useless here, obviously we bet on the best goalies continuing to be the best. But every year there seems to be players and teams that come out of nowhere |

Gravel was picked up by Baie-Comaeau last year and took them to the league final. M Rousseau couldn't even get his team out of the first round last year. He may not be the top goalie in the league, but he has to be considered as one of the top 5-7, IMO |
