Groulx was a beast for the two opening games. He was relentless on the puck and never gave up. I was at both games ... thanks to two for one game tickets..and he stood out of the crowd for sure. Also Lominacs play was a pleasant surprise. He was hard on pucks as well. But in the end indidual play is just that. All players got to step up to win puck battles and to win games they have to go full.. not half. It was good games.. but each player I think has to ask themselves if they think they are playing up to par for the Q. Or do they have more. Ps.. Beverage will not be back.. btw Any chance you’re incorrect about Beveridge? You seem extremely confident in your statements about him. Whats with the lack of info about him? People hint at knowing yet won't post the why. So the impression people are left assuming is that the kid just bailed on the team. Did the kid just decide to give the sport up? Or did he show off potential and decide the NCAA route in a year is the way to go once they figure their rules out? If it was a family illness or something there wouldn't be this hardline "he's not coming back" so I don't think any fan is prying at something they shouldn't be when wondering out loud why this ended up like this.

No shit... point is, pushing this "he is never coming back" narrative but not actually giving any detail to back it up is irresponsible and obviously just trying to stir up drama

Bringing spelling into it just doesn't really add much to it, honestly. It's not like there was any doubt over the player he meant to talk about. At some point they either support the statement with something or they should lay off the narrative. I absolutely agree with you there.

In the topic of the two weekend games! I only saw Saturdays game and for what it is worth. Robinson was good but l gave up some soft rebounds. The D Tivey looked strong, I felt Bonnet was slow. Scanzano is a big boy and not sure what happened at the end but he was PO. It’s hard to say if playing in the Q is best fit for him right now. Yard and Rozzi looked good for 16yr olds. Cross impressed me as well.

The situation at hand has nothing to do with hockey. While I may comment on player performance or team play, both good and bad, I have the utmost respect for every player who has made it to this level of hockey. Not just anyone can make it this far. With that said, out of respect for all players I would never post non-hockey-related matters on a public forum. Definately not my style.

I'll admit that.

I would believe you, except every time someone mentions anything to do with Beveridge you pop up to say "He is never coming back... blah blah blah" I’m just responding to the conversation as it happens. My focus is purely on hockey matters, I would never bring up personal, non-hockey stuff in a public forum. Surely you can understand and respect that. If it feels like I’m always saying 'he's not coming back,' it's because that's the reality as I understand it, based on available information. If there's something new, great – I’ll stand corrected. Until then, I’m just calling it as I see it. I would never say never, but as I see and understand it, he will not report anytime soon. If you have anymore information then I'm sure the group would be glad to hear it. Otherwise all these post are just unwanted noise.

Early on, the players are playing better than I expected.
Groulx has taken a huge leap and MacLean looks really good when he's skating the puck.
There have been a few bouts of inconsistency (bound to happen when you have such a young team) as well as a few problems that are more likely 11 7 problems.
Beveridge would be awesome to have in the top 6 and we'd all love to see him here. Hopefully, he comes back sooner rather than later.

Groulx looks strong this year so far and I would agree I think the team is playing better than expected. MacLean does look more confident with the puck this year. I do like his style as he will make you pay if you are in front of the net. Once we get the other guys back the team will be much better up front as some guys are getting more ice time than they should.
