With Peddle and Mateiko back.. I would expect the lines shaken up.
CROSS I think has earned his way up the lineup..
I Iike Dube at centre.. he can be creative.
Someone will get moved out of the centre position.

I'll be interested to see what they do with the goalies this weekend. Do they split again? If so, does Gravel play against Charlottetown since it's his "turn" or do they give the easier game to the less experienced guy?
Tomorrow is obviously our best hope of getting our first win of the season. Will likely be a good, close game no matter who is in net. The Cape Breton game could get ugly no matter who is in net.

I think I’d give them both to Gravel. It’s not a back to back and he’s the better goalie, he’s the best option to get the team a win and to keep the Cape Breton game close. Now if things go south in the first game, you can always pivot to Robinson in the 2nd game but there’s lots of opportunity for him to get starts coming up.

Agreed - he was brought in to be a starter. With a (pretty much) full roster I would be putting him in for both games - gives you the best chance to win. There is back-to-back games next weekend where Robinson can start.

There is back-to-back games next weekend where Robinson can start. The team has indicated that he was brought in to be 1A, and that they think that having a quality top guy will push Robinson to be better. I could see two scenarios (Robinson against Charlottetown and Gravel against CB or Gravel both) and I don't think that either one is wrong.

Sept 27 - @ Charlottetown Islanders
Prediction: Charlottetown is gearing up for a crucial early-season matchup against long-time Maritime rivals, the Saint John Sea Dogs. Goaltender Nicolas Ruccia is slated to start for the Islanders, anchoring their defense. With Ruccia’s presence between the pipes, the Islanders will look to turn strong goaltending into offensive opportunities. A significant boost for Charlottetown comes with the return of captain Marcus Kearsey from Detroit Red Wings training camp, whose leadership and transition play will be pivotal in generating chances against the Sea Dogs.
Charlottetown will be without forward Nathan Leek, serving the final game of his suspension, and forward Logan Biser, still sidelined due to ankle surgery. Despite winning the regular-season series against Saint John last year (5-2-1), the Isles struggled in preseason, going 1-3 against their rivals. They’ll be looking to reverse that trend and notch their first win of the season.
For the Sea Dogs, a key development is that Matteo Mann has been assigned to AHL training camp, meaning he won’t be available for this game. However, they will be boosted by the return of NHL camp attendees Tyler Peddle and Eriks Mateiko, who will bring added offensive firepower. Between the pipes, the Sea Dogs are expected to start overage goaltender Charles-Edward Gravel, who had a solid .909 save percentage last season.
With Mann out, the Sea Dogs' defense could face extra pressure, but Gravel’s experience in goal should help balance things out. Expect a tightly fought game as the Islanders look to capitalize on Saint John’s defensive absence and secure an early-season win.
Outcome: 3-2 Islanders win.
Top 3 players to watch for each team:
Charlottetown Islanders: Nicolas Ruccia (G) A strong presence in goal, Ruccia will be key to stopping Saint John’s offense.
Marcus Kearsey (D) Back from NHL camp, Kearsey’s leadership and defensive play will be vital.
Alexis Michaud (RW) Michaud will lead the offense and be relied upon to create scoring chances.
Saint John Sea Dogs: Charles-Edward Gravel (G) Gravel’s goaltending will be crucial in holding off Charlottetown’s attack.
Eriks Mateiko (LW) Returning from NHL camp, Mateiko will drive Saint John’s offense.
Tyler Peddle (LW) Peddle adds scoring depth and will be key to breaking through Charlottetown’s defense.

Don't really understand sticking Schenk with Calder and Beaulieu. I really hope those lines don't stick. In a perfect world, I'd have one of Dube/Groulx playing RW1, Schenk playing C2, the other of Dube/Groulx playing C3 and a 4th line of Calder - Beaulieu - Cross.

Retrait de l'alignement /Healthy Scratch First line great, I thought Cross would move up. Second line .. young line but Dube may add some creativeness with the rookies to spark something?? Rozzi is not a forechecker and not the best skater. so park him in the scoring zones where he is supposed to be best .. sniping goals. Third line, two hard workers with Groulx and Lominac, but is Reynolds the Sniper they need to complete that line?? I am still trying to figure out Reynolds .. big body .. and at practices carries the puck well, but it does not seem to carry over into games. He has moved around the line up last year, but has to start making a statement. Fourth line, you know what you are going to get with Calder and Beaulieu. They come charged every night. Schenk may just fit at center with them if they can free up pucks on the forecheck and get to the net.

That 3rd line should definitely end up playing more minutes I sure hope tonight. For Schenk maybe sending a message that they are expecting more from him. But again, 4th line usually plays against 4th line on the other side, so may just be Crickard getting him to score and build confidence.
