Islanders vs Sea Dogs - Oct. 5/24

The Islanders have a couple of away matchups this weekend.

Tonight we head to Saint John for a game against the Sea Dogs.

Game time is 7:00.

Hickey gets the nod tonight, and we will see Lemieux-Goupol with the team this weekend. Also, Goriunov will make his debut with the Islanders tonight.

Steen and Voyaga are out with injury (as is Flanagan). I presume the absence of the 20 (Steen) and the Euro (Voyaga) means they can activate Goriunov without compromising the Nov. 1 Euro plan.

No updates on Biser. Last report was he had a surgery and was out a while.

Any idea where goriunov slots in the lineup?
Does he play with shields+butler, butler+hughes, or Michaud+Campbell?
Also wondering if Leek will move up the lineup this game.

Dogs up 2-0 after 1, they have 9 rookies dressed as well.

EALG playing solid. Big things coming from this kid sooner than later!

St John made it look too easy to beat us. As much as I love the Isles never quit attitude, you can’t start to play with 10 minutes left and expect to win. Frustrating to watch. Hoping they can turn it around soon.

Yaaa we’re definitely not in the best spot atm. Another long year.
Next year will be torn down again as the age group isn’t ideal. 5-20’s and 7-19’s, but we will deal with and complain about that next year. 😊
