As per The Guardian today.....
-Ruccia will start in goal tonight.
-Lemieux-Goupil remains with the team because of injuries
-Voyaga, Plamondon, Steen, and Flanagan are all expected to be out this weekend for both tonight and Monday's game.
-No mention of Biser in the article, but I understood his absence to be of the longer variety.
Because of Voyaga's and Steen's absence, they are able to continue to use Goriunov this weekend, so he will be in the lineup.
Nothing in the article.....but by my math, these injuries leave us one body short of a full lineup (we'll be playing with 5 defencemen). I would strongly hope that when they've been aware of these injuries all week that arrangements could be made to get someone in the lineup. Simon Duguay and Landon Ryan all play in the Maritimes. I'm not sure where Kenzie Wagner is playing this year, but he is another Maritimer who was at camp. Theo Lebrun plays with College Notre Dame which is I think is in Riviere-de-Loup (close to Martitimes). I know that calling these guys up removes them from their regular team but in October that is ok and it is beneficial to the player to get a look see in regular season Q play.
It drives me nuts when we play short of bodies... especially if it is only going with 5 defencemen for two full games.
We'll see what the lineup looks like.
