Head scout was Stella wing man so no surprise there unfortunately. Although I see great selection in their 2007-2008 core, still not sure why they were let go. Maybe Crickard didn't agree with some signings of some of these guys? We have a great looking team, looking forward to the next couple months

When Crickard became GM, he mentioned that some of the scouts would likely leave out of loyalty to Stella.

Heredia wasn't let go. When Crickard became GM, he mentioned that some of the scouts would likely leave out of loyalty to Stella. The article mentioned he was let go. The article was written by the same person who took pot shots at Georgie about Stella being let go. Just because Lalancette wrote it doesn't mean it's true, especially now that "facts" aren't important to his reporting.

OK but he's paid to be a journalist so is it just SJ stuff you won't believe because you also can't just discount one of the few reporters in the league because you don't like the way he reports his facts either. If you have no proof of this just ignore it. Saying its not true because of who it came from when he's a legit journalist and you have no proof he's wrong isn't a great stance to take.

He's not reporting facts. He's making a statement without anything to back it up. Considering this is a direct contradiction from Crickard's statement, I would be inclined to believe the guy who has firsthand knowledge of the situation.

Considering this is a direct contradiction from Crickard's statement, I would be inclined to believe the guy who has firsthand knowledge of the situation. He's a reporter. He doesn't have to disclose how he can back it up. How do you know both sides don't believe it unfolded in a different way but with the same end result? The GM can say what he wants. If the dismissed employee and 1 other person can back up another side of the story it can be reported as fact to the journalist. Unless you've talked to either side yourself you're just going off of 1 liners in articles that could easily have happened in a different way based on each unique case. Maybe 4 scouts feel they left on their own and 1 feels he was fired and has the paperwork to prove it. The point is that for as much as you say the journalist doesn't know what we do know is he has some ethical process to follow.
