Do the islanders do these trips a few times every year? These back to back games? Once to saint john and once to cape breton each year? Is it ever halifax?

Stumpf went down the tunnel in the first period, I don’t see him on the bench to start the 2nd.

Isles win 6-2.
Campbell Goriunov...1G+3A...he now has 14pts in 13gp. Valente Shields Herron Campbell
Nice to see Herron get another one. Two goals in 4gp from the American 16yr old since joining the Isles. Very nice addition to this team!
Valente also added a goal tonight!
Butler picked up 3 assists!
Hickey played big, as usual!

Good news the addition of Heron is paying immediate dividends.... and Hickey looks like a real good future building block... so much so do we consider moving Ruccia?
I'm conflicted tho as we finally have our own first and I would love to possibly add a real impact forward to build on and we do not have a team to compete in playoffs no matter how much of a turnaround we see here
Gorionuv should never have been sitting..... he's the best forward on the team right now and it's not even close
Nice to see Butler with a big night as well

The whole idea of still stringing along 4 20 y/o players has not helped this team get in synch. I get the idea that part of the issue is keeping the rights for Radivojevic, but I agree they Goriunov is a key piece to our lineup. Our record in Sept/Oct would likely be better with Goriunov playing than if he’s sitting. I guess it would have meant that Voyaga would have been on the sidelines….which he more or less was due to injury. I think at this point, you just take whatever you can get for Ruccia at the deadline and run.
I don’t really think we have anyone in the pipeline that could step in and back up/mentor Hickey, so maybe you grab a veteran 18/19 yo that can split time with Hickey.
You could always call up Boudreau, but I think you want somebody with a bit more experience incase Hickey falters in his rookie season
