I noticed Hanson is leaving to go back home . Who fills his spot ? Another assistant in the league or someone fresh ?

I noticed Hanson is leaving to go back home . Who fills his spot ? Another assistant in the league or someone fresh ? I will throw two names out ... even if both likely are long shots. First, I noticed that Rocky Thompson was let go by Philadelphia. The other is Mathieu Turcotte, recently released from Blainville-Boisbriand. Both have head coaching experience which could be helpful, especially when Travis is on scouting/recruiting trips. However, I'm not sure how much experience either has coaching defence - which is the opening left with Jeff Hanson's departure. |

Rocky was a defense coach before he was head coach if I am not mistaken. On top of that, Rocky also became a very solid AHL defenseman later in his career. He also worked for the Sea Dogs as a consultant in 2022 so he would be familiar with Crickard, though I don't know if he would want to step down to this level. |
